Ami Taf Ra is a world renowned North-African singer and songwriter. She was born in Morocco and raised most of her life in Amsterdam. She creates music that connects East and the West musically with her fusion jazz sound.  While residing in Istanbul, she recorded her Istanbul inspired debut album in 2018 called EastWest and the project was received with great acclaim by fans. Ami Taf Ra has performed around the world, including Turkey, Morocco, Belgium, Israel, Lebanon and Jordan.

Ami Taf Ra’s latest project is a collaboration with the great Kamasi Washington. The collaboration project was inspired by the great writer Khalil Gibran’s two books, The Prophet and the Madman.  In celebration of the 100 years anniversary of the release of the book The Prophet,  Ami Taf Ra will be debuting this new project in New York at The Apollo on October the 7th.
